Venator Asia Sdn. Bhd. receives court approval for creditor meetings

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Venator Asia Sdn. Bhd. announces that on 26 November 2025, the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur granted an order for Venator Asia Sdn. Bhd. to convene separate meetings with 3 classes of its creditors for the purpose of proposing a scheme under section 366 of the Companies Act 2016. The scheme of arrangement process is a court-supervised restructuring process intended to provide Venator Asia Sdn. Bhd. an avenue to formulate a fair and viable restructuring proposal for its creditors.

The High Court also granted an order under section 368 of the Companies Act 2016 restraining any commencement or continuation of legal proceedings against Venator Asia Sdn. Bhd. for an initial period of 3 months so that the company has the necessary protection while the scheme process is underway.
